A Good Start

I ran an easy 8 miles out through Roxbury to Franklin Park. This was not the nicest area of Boston. I am surprised that I kept my pace below 8:00 mpm because I was running through snow for some of this run. Not deep snow, but places where the footing was real lousy and it was hard to keep moving forward. There was a lot of traffic, and it was hard to negotiate intersections at times. I am probably not going to do this one again. Maybe, but I doubt it. However, it was nice to get in a leisurely 8 miles to start the week. A steady 10 miler tomorrow with some strides after. The schedule doesn't call for another tempo run until next week.
